MyLA Accessibility Statement

Updated and Effective as of July 18, 2025.

OUR COMMITMENT TO ACCESSIBILITY

The State of Louisiana is committed to ensuring that the MyLA (my.la.gov) portal and all its services are accessible to people with disabilities. We strive to provide a digital environment that allows all individuals, regardless of ability, to access Louisiana government services with dignity, independence, and equal opportunity.

MyLA has been designed to meet the requirements of the most recently published Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.2, Level AA) developed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), in accordance with Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.

ACCESSIBILITY FEATURES

MyLA incorporates numerous features designed to enhance accessibility, including but not limited to:

  • Proper heading structure to facilitate navigation with screen readers
  • Alternative text for images and non-text content
  • Keyboard accessibility for all functionality
  • Sufficient color contrast for text and interface elements
  • Resizable text without loss of content or functionality
  • Form fields with proper labels and instructions
  • Skip navigation links to improve keyboard navigation
  • Accessible documents and downloadable files

We continuously work to improve user experience for everyone and apply the relevant accessibility standards to ensure we meet or exceed the requirements of applicable regulations.

KNOWN LIMITATIONS

While we strive for complete accessibility across all aspects of the MyLA portal, some content or functionality may not yet be fully accessible. We are actively working to address these issues:

  • Some older PDF documents may not be fully accessible. If you encounter an inaccessible document, please contact us and we will provide the information in an alternative, accessible format.
  • Third-party content or services linked from MyLA may have varying levels of accessibility that are beyond our control.
