INTRODUCTION
Welcome to MyLA.
The State of Louisiana (“State,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) has prepared this privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) to explain how we collect, use, and share information and Personal Data (as defined under applicable law) we obtain through your use of the MyLA portal and related services (collectively, the “Services”) that are operated by, controlled by, or affiliated with the Office of Technology Services, Division of Administration, State of Louisiana. This Privacy Policy only covers information collected through the Services and via direct communications between you and the State, and does not cover any information collected at any other website, application, or otherwise by the State (unless specifically stated), including when you call us, write to us, or communicate with us in any manner other than through the Services.
Important Note
The primary function of this portal is to provide the citizens, partners, and local government entities of Louisiana with streamlined access to various government services through a single sign-on system. It simplifies how citizens and authorized users interact with Louisiana government services by consolidating account creation, authentication, and personal data management into a single, secure platform.
As you navigate MyLA, you will see links that, when clicked, may take you directly to resources or websites hosted outside of the MyLA portal. These resources or websites may have their own individual privacy policies. While the large majority of the links hosted by MyLA directly connect you to other state, federal, or local government resources or websites, some links may directly connect to websites or resources being provided by third parties.
Even though data privacy and information security are critical priorities for every Louisiana state agency, we strongly recommend you read the site policies for each site you visit.
By using the Services, you consent to such use of your information and Personal Data and agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.
CHILDREN’S ONLINE PRIVACY PROTECTION ACT
The Services are intended for a general audience and are not intended for and may not be used by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13, and we do not target the Services to children under the age of 13. Children under the age of 13 are not eligible to use services that require submission of personal information and should not submit any personal information to MyLA. If you are a child under the age of 13, you can use these services only if used together with your parents or guardians. Seek guidance from your parents or guardians if you are under the age of 13.
